Following our last attendance in 2016, Convene came back this year as a sponsor for the 11th Premier Corporate Governance Conference held at the Montecasino, Johannesburg, South Africa recently.
Organized by the Chartered Secretaries Southern Africa (CSSA), this year’s Premier Corporate Governance Conference covered topics focusing on the importance of transparency in promoting good governance within every organization. The CSSA tailored the event in recognition of the increasing concerns about compliance of financial reporting standards and accountability of board directors.
The two-day event was the perfect avenue for 250 directors, corporate secretaries, and representatives from leading companies in South Africa to interact and exchange best practices with high-profile panelists and speakers who are well-versed in the topic of promoting effective, entrepreneurial, and prudent management that can deliver long-term success to any company.
Convene had the pleasure of meeting and engaging with executives and governance professionals from leading financial companies, healthcare organizations, educational institutions, and local government agencies during the conference. One of which – Ms. Shakun Ramsamujih from The Aurum Institute — won an iPad from Convene during the raffle draw.
