What is Support?

Support pertains to anything that indirectly contributes to the main functions or operations of an organization. Support roles may include the administrative, legal, or human resource departments. While they may not be directly involved with core business activities, they all play an important function to keep the organization running smoothly. A support team may also be deployed by an organization to provide assistance to customers and other stakeholders.
