  • Andres Oneto La Faye

    Andres Oneto La Faye

    Andrés is the Corporate Governance Principal Officer in the Direction of Productive Development at the CAF Development Bank of Latin America, where he works since 2007. With his current position, he coordinates at a regional level the Corporate Governance Program of the multilateral institution.

    He is a Founding Member of the Development Finance Institutions (DFI) Corporate Governance Development Framework and a key architect of the DFI CG Methodology.

    Andres has over 20 years of experience in the field of finance and corporate governance in the private sector. He has an MBA in Finance and International Business from the Stern School of Business – New York University and a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru.

    He is a regular speaker, lecturer and moderator at high-level global conferences and business-school programs. Andres is also a co-author of several publications, including CAF Guidelines for Good Corporate Governance of State-Owned Enterprise, that has been widely used by policy makers, regulators, SOE board members and Corporate Governance Officers, within the Latin America region.

    Khathu is the Managing Director of Nethavhani Attorneys Inc. For 12 years, he has served in the public service, particularly the corporate services department, where he has also become a Corporate Manager for legal services, labour relations, procurements, and finance sections of the public institution.

    Khathu left the public service to serve his articles of clerkship and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa. As a practising Attorney, he specialises in corporate law, corporate governance, public law, commercial litigation, labour law, and banking law. Khathu represents clients in various courts and fora, such as the CCMA, Bargaining Councils, and the Companies Tribunal.

    Khathu is a Board Member of the National Library of South Africa (NLSA). He is also a member of the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors (IRBA) Accreditation Committee Subject Matter Experts Panel Member: Corporate and Business Law. Khathu is a fellow of the CGISA and currently serves on the Technical Committee. He also represents the CGISA on the Thought Leadership Committee of the global Chartered Governance Institute.

    Khathu regularly writes articles published in print media about corporate governance, corporate law, banking law, and financial regulation. He also frequently presents webinars arranged by the CGISA. Khathu has been cited in several Corporate Law Master’s dissertations and Doctoral theses as an authority.

    Dr Lovemore is the CEO and Secretary of Governance and Accountancy Institute in Zimbabwe. He is also a Fellow of the Governance and Accountancy Institute in Zimbabwe and a Chartered Governance Professional (Zimbabwe and UK).

    Dr Lovemore is a registered Public Accountant with the Public Accounting and Auditors’ Board (PAAB) and a certified Internal Control Specialist. He also holds an MBA degree in the University of Zimbabwe, has obtained Qualifications in Business studies (MoF), Business leadership (ZIM) and Insurance (IISA & CII), and has done doctoral research in Economics. He is a member of the Institute of Bookkeepers in South Africa and an Alumnus of the Henley Management College in the UK.

    With over 33 years of diverse experience across the fields of Operations, Finance, Marketing, Business Development, Underwriting, Insurance Broking, and Risk Management, Dr Lovemore has won several accolades. He was recognized as the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC) Businessman of the Year (2014) and Zimbabwe Institute of Management (ZIM) Manager of the Year, Runner Up (2014). Dr Gomera is a seasoned conference presenter, mentor and life coach.

    Khalid is an International Director at the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA). He has spent over 30 years of working in the specialized area of public sector auditing. He has experience working across the globe, with many years spent in the UK, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates. During this time, he has led several global committees and initiatives, including being the Chair of the Financial Auditing and Accounting Subcommittee of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) for eight years. Khalid has led the INTOSAI initiatives on sustainable development goals and emerging issues.
