Beginning this year, the general meetings conducted via ConveneAGM started to shift towards the hybrid or physical formats. Regardless of format, ConveneAGM has the capabilities to allow for better shareholder engagement and ease of participation during a general meeting.

To address the increasing demand for shareholder interaction, SGX RegCo has revised its rules for hybrid general meetings. Starting on 1 July 2023, listed companies are required to hold their general meetings in a physical location in Singapore. Shareholders based overseas can participate remotely via virtual meeting technology for real-time remote electronic voting and real-time electronic communication.
